Alfa Romeo BMW X3 SUV will Challenge

Turin - Alfa Romeo will begin to look Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV), so far only focus on sedans and sports cars.

Italian car manufacturer is preparing SUV that would compete with the BMW X3 and Audi Q5 in 2013 for the North American market.

Platform will be supplied Jeep and sharing basis with the Jeep Compass and Patriot future. The car is expected to be produced at Fiat's Mirafiori factory in Turin, Italy in late 2012.

For the engine will have several options ranging from capacity of 2.0 liter JTDM Diesel and Chrysler Pentastar V6 engine with a capacity of 3.3 liters.

Alfa Romeo SUV concoction is able to penetrate the targeted sales of 50 thousand units in the upcoming 2013/2014.
